Completion of tunnels上海夜网il line within reach

Most of the tunnels along the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sich

上海夜网品茶微信uan-Tibet Railway have been completed, railway authorities said over the weekend.

The Bukamu Tunnel, one of the longest tunnels on the railway linking Lha上海夜网

sa and Nyingchi in Southwest China’s Tibet autonomous region, was completed on Fr

iday. With its completion, 96 percent of the tunnels on the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the railway are finished.上海夜网

The 9,240-meter Bukamu Tunnel is located in Manling county of the reg

ion’s eastern Nyingchi city. According to the China Railway 17th Bureau Group, and it is

also the 37th tunnel to be completed for this section, leaving 10 other tunnels to be finished by the end of the year.上海夜网品茶微信

“Once construction began in October 2015, it took more than 300 workers 1,234 days to complete the tunnel,” said Y

an Qingjing, an official of the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway Headquarters, which is part of the group.上海夜网

“The oxygen level in the region is merely 50 percent that of the plain are

as, with the tunnel’s location at an average elevation of 3,000 meters above sea level, a上海夜网品茶微信

nd the oxygen level inside the tunnel is only 19 percent of that of the plain areas,” Yan said.

The group’s statistics show that more than 90 percent of the tunnel is rock burst section, and that more than 3,000 ro上海夜网

ck bursts were counted during construction of the tunnel, with an average daily burst of three.

Wang Shucheng, director of the project, said the tunnel’s depth reaches上海夜网

1,381 meters at one point, and high geostress inside causes the tunnel’s highest tem

perature to reach 42 C, much higher than the railway tunnel construction safety temperature of 28 C.上海夜网品茶微信

“The tunnel is like a steam room,” said Kang Yanjun, who works with the group. “On

ce you get inside, you begin sweating profusely. It is like doing anaerobic exercise.”上海夜网品茶微信

The technicians must exert a lot of energy every time the

y work in the tunnel, and each person needs at least 10 bottles of water, Kang said.

Dealing with the economic bullying, trade protect

tionism and unilateralism of the United States is not just the business of China, it also matters to the recovery of the world economy,” Zhang said.

Regarding the future development of the SCO, Zhang said the short-term goal of the regional organization is to build a commu

nity of development and security while its long-term goal is to build a community with a shared future.

The “Annual Report on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (2019)”, released by the Chinese Academy of Social Scien

ces on Monday, highlighted the challenges the regional body is facing due to unilateralism, protectionism and terr

orism against the backdrop of increasing global uncertainty and instability.

The report said political mutual trust among the SCO members has been strengthened and high-quality de

velopment of the BRI has injected fresh impetus into the member states’ cooperation.

Lieutenant General Shao Yuanming, deputy chief

of the Joint Staff Department of China’s Central Military Commission, said in an afternoon media bri

However, Shao said Shanahan also made some inaccurate claims on China’s military de

In April last year, China announced the decision to supp

port Hainan in developing the whole island into a pilot free trade zone, the 12th and the largest in the

country, to gradually explore and steadily promote the establishment of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics.

The Haikou Jiangdong New District covers 298 square kilometers o

n the east coast of Haikou, and will have two parts: a 106-sq-km ecological region boasting a key n

ational wetland natural reserve, and a 192-sq-km area that will serve both industrial and urban purposes.

The provincial government said Haikou should pay great attenti

on to ensure that environmental quality is advanced in an all-round way while developing the new ben

national consumption, cultural exchanges, and scientific and technological innovation.

The NDRC said in the recent media interview that Chin

na will adhere to the principle of fair and free trade in its management of rare-earth ex

ports, but “the Chinese people will be unhappy” if the country’s exported rare-earth metals are used against China.

Since the start of the China-US trade friction more than a year ago, Washington has taken many measures, includin

g taking advantage of its edge in high-end chip making, to stymie Chinese high-tech firms, the NDRC said.

The NDRC added that in its latest move to dampen China’s industrial development, the US governme

nt has used an executive order to effectively ban products of Chinese tech giant Huawei from being use

d in the US, which has been widely seen as unreasonable and unfair. Having been increasingly used in high-tech ind

ustries, rare-earth metals are critical in making products from advanced weaponry to chips and hybrid cars.

Mei said that although the ban will have certain impac

mpacts on Huawei, the Chinese telecom company has already prepared options to deal with the problem.

A recent report by Dongxing Securities said the US ban on Huawei will foster dem

and for manufacturing independent and controllable semiconductor components in China.

“We see remarkable room for growth in the next-generation 5G and consumer electronics products in the future,” the report sa

id. “As the US has imposed restrictions on Huawei’s purchases of US technology, some major domestic chi

pmakers will step in to offer the supply. As their market share grows in the future, they will gradually be able to g

ain core capabilities and increase their presence globally amid the fierce competition.”

Also on Friday, shortly after the US said it would ban Hua

Huawei from buying US technology without special approval, Huawei’s chipmaking arm, HiSilico

n, said it has long been prepared for the “extreme scenario” of the US blocking access to some components and technologies.

“We have been developing backup products for years in anticipation. … Such efforts can ensure the strategic safety of most of the

company’s products and a continuous supply of most products,” said HiSilicon President He Tingbo in an internal letter.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said at a news conference

on Friday that the development and utilization of 5G depends on global cooperation, and i

nterference by the US undermines the principle of fair competition and shows a lack of respect for other countries.

HiSilicon, which was founded in 2004, has designed chipsets like Kirin, which has b

conditions to carry out the experiment as most of its earthquakes occur “inside the land under the feet of th

“My personal hope is that if there is any way or any future in trying

According to the administration, the country is stricken by an average 20 earthqua

the new millennium, more than 91,800 people have been killed by earthquakes in the country.

Quarterly earnings growth augurs well for A-share firms

Improved earnings of companies listed on mainland bourses during the first quarter of the year augur well for the full-ye

ar financial results and are an indication of the vitality the Chinese economy, analysts said.

During the January to March period, aggregate profits of A-share compan

ies topped 1 trillion yuan ($147.6 billion) and grew 9.4 percent year-on-year, reversing a fu

ll-year decline of 1.9 percent last year, data from Shanghai-based information provider Wind Info showed.

Meanwhile, aggregate return on equity (ROE)-a major gauge of

profitability-stood at 9.8 percent, intact from the whole-year of 2018.

“Given that the downtrend in economic growth had largely eased by the end of the first quarter, the aggregate ROE of A-shar

e companies has probably hit the bottom,” said Xu Gao, chief economist at Everbright Securities Asset Management Co Ltd.

Language training, NASA’s space camp, computer programming, homes

During the recent winter vacation in February, study-t
